Additional Costs
a) Admission costs
- Registration 500/=

b) Others costs.
- Meals for the entire term/semester: minimum of Ksh 150 per day for 80 days
- Accommodation-Termly-Minimum Ksh. 7,000/-Ksh13,500 for the term

- Transport: Depending on where you stay
- Specific course requirements vary depending on course, e.g. Lab coats, apron

c) Interpretation
- All the 2022 candidates must apply to be considered for any funding
- HELB/Government will categorize students according to level of need according to Means Testing Instrument.
- If not fully funded, the burden will be borne by parents or guardians.
- Government will fund through scholarships and loans
- Households/individuals will fund the deficit from government and loan funding
- The amount of scholarship awarded increases as the level of need increases
- The amount of loan awarded increases as the level of need reduces.
- Students / parents in the “less needy” and “needy” categories will have to pay at least Ksh. 13,438/= from their own pockets towards fees.
