The role of Deputy Principal in charge of Administration, Planning and Finance is to support the principal in all matters of administration, planning and development. My office is responsible for ensuring provision of integrated and efficient administrative services to the Polytechnic and for development of sound administrative policies, control and procedures that ensure realization of the Polytechnic’s mission, vision and strategy objectives. It is responsible for efficient and effective coordination of the following functions; Human Resource personnel, Finance, Procurement, Estate development, Production Units and transport services.
Since its establishment in the 1950’s as a trade school, SNP has grown in leaps and bounds to become a reputable National Polytechnic and is known for producing skilled workforce in the TVET industry through its Artisan, Craft and Diploma Programmes that are practical oriented and are geared towards self-employment.
At SNP, we have cultivated very cordial relationships with our students and endeavor to nurture them with good values. Through fora, the management interacts with the students to seek their views on various subjects. We equip out trainees with relevant technical skills and competencies to enable them be relevant, responsive and demonstrate professionalism in the dynamic infrastructure industry. We also produce Technicians and Technologists who work in the local industry to meet the industrial needs as middle level managers, technicians and supervisors.
SNP has built a strong collaboration with universities, industries and County Governments. through its Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes and been able to reach out to communities and support the other Youth Polytechnics through training skills.
